Lia is moving, but Little Loft continues!…

It's with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to these kids, these families, this neighborhood, and this amazing community that welcomed me, supported my small business, and helped me realize a dream. My husband's job is taking us to Dallas, so we'll be making a new home in the Lone Star State at the end of June.

However, I am leaving Little Loft in the best of hands. Our aftercare staff will continue next year: Ebtisam Abdulaziz with the K-2nd grade group, and Sandra Masone with the 3rd-5th graders. Both have contributed their extensive skills and talents to the program, and have maintained the nurturing and creative setting I hope you expect from Little Loft.

I'd also like to welcome Kanchan Balsé to the position of Director, and eventually owner. Kanchan has taught with us since we first opened in Takoma Park. She's a phenomenal teacher, an accomplished artist, and a neighborhood parent. Fun fact: we went to high school together in Massachusetts in the -- eek! -- early 90s!

I'm thrilled to be leaving Little Loft to such a talented and competent team. But it doesn't make the leaving any easier.

Thanks for your support of Little Loft - your participation has made this studio a special place in our neighborhood and a truly wonderful four years for me. I will dearly miss you.
